Job summary

Riverside Community College District is seeking a part-time Student Assistant (SE) for RCC Technical Support Services in Riverside. You will assist staff with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and light IT tasks, supporting students and faculty on campus.

Role requires basic IT knowledge, familiarity with Windows/macOS/Chrome, and ability to document procedures. Flexible hours up to 20 per week, open until filled.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of setting up, configuring, and operating equipment such as computer workstations, mobile devices, printers, scanners, projectors, audio microphones.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, macOS and Chrome operating systems.
• Experience using video/conferencing software (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to document technical procedures in writing.
• Ability to respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
• Physically able to work in cramped spaces and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist full-time staff with clerical and data entry tasks.
• Inventory and salvage audio, visual and IT equipment.
• Set up audio visual equipment for events and classes.
• Respond to computer-related service requests from students and staff.
• Check out and check in technology equipment.
• Respond to walk-up requests for support services.
