Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks dedicated couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents living on campus and caring for a group of 8–13 students. The roles start with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with transition into a placed houseparent role over time.

Responsibilities include supervision, guiding student routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, and leading devotions.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and lead development/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
