Job summary

The Sophia Way is seeking on-call Shelter Staff in Bellevue, WA to support residents and volunteers with compassionate, trauma-informed care. You’ll monitor the facility, assist with meals, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment while coordinating with leadership on follow-up actions.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related fields and experience helping homeless populations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field.
• Experience working with homeless populations.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities.
• Physical capacity for light cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility and oversee daily operations.
• Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
• Assist with meal setups and maintaining cleanliness.
• Communicate critical information to leadership for follow-up.
