Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking kitchen staff to assist with setup, food prep, and service on an as-needed basis. They operate across multiple states and discuss pay with a Hiring Manager based on state and position.

Responsibilities include setting up serving lines, batch cooking, and maintaining cleanliness, inventory, and safety protocols. Candidates should be able to follow recipes, monitor temperatures, and support daily operations in a cafeteria setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic for rates, ratios, and percentages
• Reasoning Ability: Follow instructions and solve problems with a few variables
• Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids: Operate and use kitchen equipment and tools as listed

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure proper food temperatures
• Prepare foods according to menu and recipes; batch cook for quality and presentation
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and FIFO inventory practices
• Assist in dishwashing area and maintain equipment temperatures
