Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Service Technician I to deliver an outstanding customer experience while performing repairs in our single-family homes. You will troubleshoot issues, follow safety guidelines, and provide cost-conscious service on our managed properties.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of service experience, a valid driver's license, and owns basic tools. Weekend and evening on-call availability is required, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License in the working state.
• Minimum of 1 year of general service experience.
• Own basic tools to perform ongoing residential service.
• Available for on-call work, including weekends and evenings.
• Experience in single-family or multi-family rental is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work under pressure.
• Familiar with EPA and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations quickly and determine repair steps.
• Provide outstanding customer service consistent with Progress standards.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, appliances, and other systems.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on properties.
• Report major repairs and requisitions before expenditures.
• Maintain fleet vehicle and tools; ensure workplace safety.
• Communicate clearly with residents and vendors; work under deadlines.
