Job summary

Progress Residential, a leading property manager of single-family rental homes nationwide, is hiring a Service Technician I to provide an outstanding customer experience while performing repairs and cost controls. The role is on-site at our Nashville, TN properties, with safety and regulatory compliance a priority.

You will diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, appliances, irrigation, doors, lighting, and more, while maintaining vehicle and inventory, and ensuring timely, quality service for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license in the working state.
• Minimum of 1 year of general service experience.
• Employee must have their own basic tools for residential work.
• Available for on-call service work.
• Available to work weekends and evenings.
• Experience in single-family or multi-family rental industry preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact with residents and contractors professionally.
• Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess service requests and determine steps to resolve.
• Provide outstanding customer service and represent Progress Residential standards.
• Diagnose and perform service or repairs (electrical, plumbing, appliances, irrigation, etc.).
• Schedule and perform routine preventive service on properties.
• Report major repairs before expenditures are made.
• Maintain safety and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain fleet vehicle and inventory per guidelines.
• Ensure timely completion of service requests and maintain punctuality.
• Drive safely and maintain a good driving record.
