Job summary

The Franklin Johnston Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to upkeep the community’s buildings and grounds. You will diagnose problems and perform repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliance areas to keep facilities safe and functional.

Responsibilities include responding to resident work orders, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and safety. A valid driver’s license and on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HVAC certification preferred; CAMT recommended. Fair Housing Certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement.
• Respond to resident work orders and notify management upon completion or delays due to back-ordered supplies.
• Maintain the daily repair and upkeep of the community.
• Perform routine maintenance punch on vacant units prior to new resident occupancy.
• Care for and inventory all supplies and equipment owned by the community/company.
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Report unusual or extraordinary conditions regarding the property or residents.
