Job summary

The Franklin Johnston Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Richmond, VA to maintain and repair property buildings and grounds. You will diagnose problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances, and perform routine maintenance to keep facilities in top condition.

Responsibilities include responding to resident work orders, ensuring safety practices, and keeping tools and supplies organized. On-call availability and adherence to company policies are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience.
• CAMT certification recommended; HVAC cert preferred.
• Fair Housing Certification required within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs, and safety checks.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and notify management on completion or back-ordered items.
• Maintain daily upkeep of the community and prep units for new residents.
