Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical standards of our Durham, NC property. The role involves diagnosing and repairing building systems, completing work orders, and performing make-ready tasks for new residents.

You will maintain grounds and facilities, manage inventory, and comply with safety policies. Candidates should have EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and be capable of working a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling required.
• Valid state driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policy, diagnosing defects and performing repairs.
• Executes make-ready tasks to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Manages inventory, materials, and tools, returning unused items and notifying supervisors on reorder needs.
• Documents service requests accurately to ensure proper tracking and closure.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
