Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Gaylord, MI is seeking a Patient Access Representative (PRN - On call) to greet and direct patients and families and to register admissions and testing. This role requires strong people skills and the ability to handle confidential information with care.

You will assist patients across testing and surgical areas, coordinate transportation as needed, and support a courteous, welcoming hospital environment. PRN on-call shifts offer flexibility within a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years formal education or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) years' work experience in customer service, healthcare or business-related field.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and families to testing and surgical areas in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Register patients by obtaining/verifying all required information to enter into the registration system.
• Provide information to promote patient understanding of procedures and the hospital environment with exceptional people skills.
• Handle confidential medical information and keep offices/work area orderly and stocked.
• Access department communications daily and assist with changes to information collection procedures.
• Serve as a preceptor for new hires and provide required education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the PAS leadership team.
