Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan seeks a Patient Access Representative for the night shift to greet patients, verify information, and direct them to testing and surgical areas with a courteous, welcoming approach.

You’ll register patient data in the system, collaborate with staff, and support transport needs while maintaining confidentiality and orderly workspaces. A hospital-centric customer service background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years' work experience in customer service, healthcare or business-related field.
• Associate's degree or 2 years formal education or equivalent experience.
• Shift Start and End Times - 4p-12:30a
• Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella; flu vaccine required or exemption.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and families to testing and surgical areas in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Register patients by obtaining/verifying all required information in the registration system.
• Assist patients, family and visitors with transport as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and keep offices and work areas orderly and stocked.
• Serve as a preceptor for new hires and perform duties as assigned by PAS leadership.
• Support daily department communications and update information collection procedures.
