Job summary

The Hallmark Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, troubleshoot building systems, and conduct preventative maintenance of apartment equipment including appliances, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC components.

The role requires at least two years of maintenance experience, strong English communication, HVAC and EPA certifications, and a valid driver’s license; on-call availability 24 hours and occasional overtime may be required, with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience required or equivalent.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• HVAC and/or EPA certification.
• Previous multifamily maintenance experience.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
• Fair Housing Certificate required.
• Drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and complete preventative maintenance.
• Follow diagnostic approaches for preventive maintenance and system troubleshooting; on-site basic repairs including HVAC, appliances, plumbing.
• Be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled.
• Assist in training Groundskeepers and entry level technicians.
• Inspect and prepare property for inspections by regulatory agencies; perform preventive maintenance (winterizing facilities, pool equipment, seasonal checks).
• Inspect vacant units and complete turnovers.
• Paint turnovers as needed; inspect subcontractors and document work.
• Walk grounds daily; remove litter; snow/ice removal where applicable.
• Record maintenance requests and manage inventory of parts; maintain safety and procedural compliance.
• Move heavy equipment safely and perform other duties as assigned.
