Job summary

Allegiant-Carter Management is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician for the Astoria property in Mobile, AL. You will diagnose defects, repair systems, and manage make-ready tasks to prepare apartments for leasing.

You will maintain grounds, assist contractors, and ensure safety standards while delivering responsive service to residents. Schedule includes on-call shifts, weekends, and nights as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing multifamily properties and handling routine maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Certifications such as CPO and HVAC are preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from residents, diagnose defects, and perform repairs per safety standards.
• Prepare vacants for leasing by completing pre-move-out inspections and creating punch lists.
• Track materials from the maintenance shop and notify for re-orders as needed.
• Document all work orders accurately for timely records and invoicing.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Oversee external contractors to ensure quality and compliance with specs.
• Participate in safety meetings and training per OSHA requirements.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents and address concerns promptly.
• Assist in periodic property inspections to identify safety and maintenance needs.
• Be available for on-call work, including weekends and nights.
