Job summary

Allegiant-Carter Management in Tallahassee, FL is hiring a Maintenance Technician to handle work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory control, and safety compliance on a busy multifamily property. You will interact with residents, coordinate vendors, and help maintain grounds and amenities.

The role requires HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. On-call work, including weekends and nights, is part of the schedule, with a competitive compensation

Qualifications

• Service or maintenance technician experience (multifamily industry preferred).
• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry.
• CPO certification (desired where required).
• HVAC Certification (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders from residents and perform routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Complete make-ready processes to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Manage materials from the maintenance shop and track inventory.
• Document service requests accurately for tracking.
• Maintain grounds and amenities: clean, pressure wash, paint curbs and signage.
• Periodically inspect work by contractors to ensure quality standards.
• Adhere to safety policies and attend safety meetings; report incidents promptly.
• Provide customer service by communicating with residents and addressing maintenance questions.
• Assist in inspections to identify safety risks and communicate needs to management.
• Be available on-call, including weekends and nights.
