Job summary

Allegiant-Carter Management in Macon, GA is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to diagnose defects, repair systems, and perform make-readies for new residents, following safety and code standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining grounds, managing inventory, coordinating with vendors, documenting work orders, and delivering responsive resident service. On-call work, including weekends and nights, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in multifamily maintenance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects on the property per policies and safety standards.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Maintain inventory and issue materials from the maintenance shop.
• Complete documentation and paperwork for service requests.
• Assist in grounds upkeep, cleaning and curb painting.
• Periodically inspect contractors' work for quality and compliance.
• Follow safety policies and participate in safety meetings.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents and address complaints.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety risks and communicate needs.
• Work on-call including weekends and nights.
