Job summary

Allegiant-Carter Management, a Carter Funds Company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Rome, GA. You will diagnose and repair issues in residents’ homes, complete make-ready tasks, and maintain safety standards.

The role requires experience in multifamily maintenance, knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on weekends and nights on call. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Service or Maintenance technician experience in multifamily industry preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry.
• CPO certification - if required in the state and location applied (Desired)
• HVAC Certification (Preferred)
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects on residents' requests and routine upkeep per policies and safety standards.
• Complete make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing.
• Track inventory, obtain supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Document service requests accurately and timely.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities.
• Periodically inspect work by contractors to verify quality and alignment with standards.
• Comply with safety policies and training; report incidents promptly.
• Provide courteous resident service and handle complaints with urgency.
• Assist in inspections to identify safety risks and communicate needs.
• On-call work including weekends and nights.
