Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the property's buildings and common areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

The role handles work orders, preventative maintenance, make-ready tasks for leasing, inventory control, and safety compliance while supporting cost-efficiency and reliable operations on-site in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance experience
• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspection, punch list creation, and scheduling vendors.
• Tracks inventory and returns unused items to the maintenance department; notifies supervisor on re-ordering needs.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs general cleaning and painting as needed.
• Assists in cost-cutting by repairing parts rather than replacing them when possible and ensuring proper tool use.
