Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Fort Washington, MD is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for an on-call role. The position offers hourly pay from $29.13 to $48.06, with shift differentials up to 15% on select second/third shifts, plus potential annual bonuses.

Responsibilities include high/moderate complexity testing, quality control, instrument maintenance, data entry into the LIS, and adherence to CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory setting.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology or related field preferred; ASCP certification preferred.
• Knowledge of SOPs, quality control and CLIA/HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independent judgment.
• Troubleshoot instruments and procedures; support QC and instrument maintenance.
• Report test results in the LIS with accuracy and timeliness.
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA).
• Assist with staff training and process improvements as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients as needed.
