Job summary

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or an Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP Certification preferred.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation; US-educated candidates must provide original transcript.
• Knowledge of organizational/departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report on assigned analytical tests per SOP, ensuring QC requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot instruments, support quality control, and assist with process improvement.
• Enter test results into the Laboratory Information System for reporting.
• Maintain safe, clean laboratory areas and proper records of results.
• Provide training support and assist supervisor with staff training when needed.
• Comply with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety requirements.
