Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or related degree as listed.
• 1 year clinical experience in high complexity testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling and processing, reporting and record-keeping.
• Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure testing mirrors patient samples.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and report results.
• Review and release test results, following guidelines and policies.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Escalate performance issues to senior technologist or supervisor.

Education

BS in Medical Technology

BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology

Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology

Qualified as Technologist under 42 CFR 493
