Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC seeks a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of our properties in Berkeley. The role covers building upkeep, preventive maintenance, and making-ready tasks for new move-ins, with on-call rotation and a focus on safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs according to policy and safety standards.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Access materials and tools per procedures, track inventory, return unused items, and notify supervisor for re-orders.
• Complete documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and basic repairs as needed.
• Assist cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
