Job summary

Sherman Associates in Minnesota seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled team responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining the property portfolio. Emphasis on safety, preventive maintenance, and timely response to resident requests is essential. The role supports our Solene development in St. Louis Park, MN.

This role requires hands-on technical work, strong leadership, and coordination with management, vendors, and on-site staff; some evenings and weekends on-call are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of maintenance or related carpentry/construction experience.
• Boilers license or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Current and valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes general maintenance and upkeep including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting.
• Responds to work orders and resident requests within 24 hours.
• Prepare vacated units within 24 hours and ensure thorough cleaning and repairs.
• Schedule and complete preventive maintenance for buildings.
• Hands-on repairs and maintenance across facilities with emphasis on safety.
• Diagnoses problems, replaces parts, tests, and adjusts equipment.
• Maintain stock, coordinate with vendors, and obtain bids for projects.
• Supervise on-site maintenance staff and coordinate with management.
• Conduct unit inspections and report turnover results to management.
• Adhere to attendance, grooming, safety and policies; participate in on-call rotations.
