Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across our properties. You will schedule and perform preventive maintenance, prepare vacant units, and ensure safety standards are met while coordinating with the community manager.

Ideal candidates have HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, hands-on skills with power tools, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Assist in the training of all service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take the initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Hold the maintenance team accountable to ensure they meet expectations, including attendance.
• Schedule and assist in supervision and selection of all vendor work.
• Ensure inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds departments under supervision.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are complied with.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and provide 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
