Job summary

Opaa! is seeking on-call kitchen staff to support daily food preparation and service across our programs. You will help set up serving lines, prepare items per menu plans and recipes, and ensure proper temperatures are maintained.

The role requires safe operation of equipment and careful attention to cleanliness. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and some related food service experience; training andCertifications may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain clean work areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes; batch cook as needed.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain FIFO inventory and keep cooler/storage racks clean and organized.
• Keep kitchen and cafeteria areas tidy, handle cash/ POS as required.
