Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking on-call kitchen staff to support daily meal preparations and serving operations. You will assist with line setup, food prep, and maintaining proper temperatures, while ensuring clean and organized workstations in a fast-paced cafeteria setting.

You will follow recipes and HACCP guidelines, work with team members, and help with inventory and daily production tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Commitment to HACCP and food safety rules.
• Able to work as part of a busy team in a cafeteria setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Help prepare foods per menu and plan for next-day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean and organized; follow safety rules.
• Maintain FIFO inventory and restock coolers as needed.
• Assist in dishwashing area and support front-line service.
