Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking on-call kitchen staff to support daily meal service. You will assist with set-up, food prep, equipment operation, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while following recipes and safety procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to handle several tasks during busy periods. Prior food service experience is helpful, and applicants must be able to stand for long periods and lift items as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Handle customer monies at service time; operate cash register or computer; ensure only reimbursable meals pass through POS.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Assist in food preparation per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; prep ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory and sanitation.
