Job summary

Affinity Care of Sarasota is seeking an On-Call Hospice RN to respond to patient census after hours and on weekends, handling referrals and community inquiries. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Florida RN license.
• Two years of hospice, home health, hospital med-surg, or oncology nursing preferred.
• Understanding of state and federal nursing regulations and scope of practice.
• Ability to document accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Responds to after-hours census and referrals.
• Provides urgent clinical and psychosocial care.
• Manages pain and symptom control.
• Documents care thoroughly and timely.
• Communicates with physicians and IDG about patient needs.
• Collaborates with vendors for DME, supplies, and meds after hours.
