Job summary

Ambercare – an Addus family company in New Mexico is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support elderly and disabled clients at home. The role is on-call 5 days/week, with 40 hours weekly and at least one weekend day.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation for appointments, and monitor client wellbeing. Must pass background check and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation and, if driving, a valid license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Call office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing).
• Provide light house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
