Job summary

Ambercare – an Addus family company is urgently hiring Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and individuals with disabilities living in their own homes in New Mexico. The role is on-call for 5 days per week with 40 hours per week (20 hours guaranteed) and requires regular weekend availability.

Candidates should be caring, reliable, and able to follow care plans and directions from supervisors. duties include personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation to appointments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation or access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Calls the office each morning for assignment.
• Follows specific care plans and reports completed tasks.
• Assists with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Performs routine household tasks (cleaning, meal prep, laundry).
• Transports client to appointments and errands.
• Assists with self-administration of medications as directed by supervisor.
• Observes and reports changes in client condition.
