Job summary

Ambercare – an Addus family company in New Mexico is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs). The role supports clients living at home who need help with daily activities, personal care, and companionship.

The Home Care Aide - Core is on call five days a week with 40 hours total (20 guaranteed) and weekend shifts required. Candidates must be 18+, pass a background check, have reliable transportation, and willingness to work with seniors in home environments. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Call office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing).
• Provide or assist with routine house cleaning, meal prep and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
