Job summary

Ambercare – an Addus family company in New Mexico is urgently seeking Flex Home Care Aides to support seniors and people with disabilities living at home. This on-call role offers 40 hours per week (20 guaranteed), with at least one weekend day, and assignments determined by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Needs to show empathy and compassion in home care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and care plans.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing) for clients.
• Provide or assist with routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport clients to appointments, grocery shopping, and essential tasks.
• Support self-administration of medications as directed.
• Observe changes in clients' condition and report to supervisor promptly.
