Job summary

WSP is expanding its On Call Emergency Management Recovery Cadre and seeks qualified On Call Emergency Management Specialists to support disaster recovery operations nationwide. Selected candidates must be available to travel with minimal notice and deploy anywhere in the United States with 24-48 hours' notice.

This is an on-call, project-dependent role, not a full-time position, requiring flexibility to work extended hours and multiple consecutive days as assignments arise.

Qualifications

• 7 years of professional experience, including 1+ years in an Emergency Management role or equivalent.
• Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Travel required and must be able to travel to client sites as project warrants.
• Pass WSP Motor Vehicle screening and adhere to the Code of Conduct and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Support clients through all phases of disaster recovery, providing technical assistance and expertise.
• Deploy to Emergency Operations Centers or Field Staging Areas to support recovery operations.
• Perform recovery functions including logistics, supply coordination, and resource management.
• Analyze project applications, supporting documentation, and inspections for compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Manage recovery projects from initiation through closeout and monitor progress using grant management systems.
