Job summary

WSP USA is seeking On-Call Emergency Management Specialists to support disaster recovery operations across the United States. This on-call role requires deployment with short notice and travel to client sites, including various U.S. states.

You will work on recovery projects, coordinate logistics, and monitor funding milestones. The position is not full-time and is project-dependent, with extended hours and demanding schedules during deployments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 7 years of professional exp, 1+ in Emergency Management (Response/Recovery) or equivalent.
• Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles and techniques.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• FEMA EMI Independent Study - Professional Development Series cert.
• Travel to client sites required.
• Must pass WSP Motor Vehicle screening.
• Adhere to WSP Code of Conduct and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Support clients through all disaster recovery phases with technical guidance.
• Deploy to Emergency Operations Centers or Field Staging Areas during deployments.
• Manage recovery projects from initiation to closeout with quality and on-time delivery.
• Utilize grant management systems to track progress and funding milestones.
• Analyze applications, documentation, and inspection reports for compliance.
• Collaborate with federal, state, local, and tribal partners to advance recovery initiatives.
• Attend periodic training to stay current on recovery program policies.
