Job summary

Tetra Tech seeks a Cost Estimator in its Disaster Recovery Cadre to develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and emergency work tied to FEMA Public Assistance. Role involves evaluating damaged facilities, developing project scopes, preparing cost analyses, and supporting funding eligibility; assignments may be remote, field-based, or hybrid.

Qualifications

• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facility projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates for disaster recovery projects.
• Evaluate project scope, quantities, unit costs, and estimating methodologies.
• Review engineering reports, plans, and contractor proposals for cost reasonableness.
• Provide technical estimating expertise to project managers and consultants.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain project documentation.
