Job summary
Tetra Tech seeks a Cost Estimator within its Disaster Recovery Cadre to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs by developing accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects. The role is an on-call, as-needed cadre position with remote, field-based, or hybrid deployments.
Responsibilities include evaluating damages, developing valid project scopes, preparing cost estimates, and supporting funding
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional estimating experience in construction or related fields.
- Experience developing cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
- Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and costs.
- Proficient with MS Office and construction workflows.
Responsibilities
- Support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery cost estimating activities.
- Conduct site inspections to document damages and restoration needs.
- Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed estimates for projects.
- Develop cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings and more.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and program staff; maintain records.
