Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs. You will develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work, evaluating damaged facilities and assisting with scope validation.

This on-call, as-needed Cadre position offers remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments across disaster recovery projects, with travel as needed and a focus on defensible documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in construction estimating, engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience developing cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices and project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs via scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Conduct site inspections to understand damages, repairs, and construction needs.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for recovery projects.
• Develop documentation clear for audits and program reviews.
