Job summary

Tetra Tech's Disaster Recovery Cadre is seeking a Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and related programs. You will develop accurate, defendable cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency and permanent work, and help determine funding eligibility.

Assignments may be remote, field-based, or hybrid, and travel is required as needed. You will review plans, scoping, and cost data, collaborate with engineers and program staff, and maintain auditable documentation for

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in cost estimating, engineering, or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric and detailed estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and costs.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery cost estimation.
• Prepare cost estimates for infrastructure repair and reconstruction.
• Review reports, plans, and contractor cost documentation.
• Develop clear, defensible estimate documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and grant staff on eligible work.
