Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dynamics of domestic abuse
• Trauma-informed understanding in crisis situations
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Proficient computer skills including email and calendars
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Provide hotline crisis intervention, safety planning, information and referrals
• Conduct assessments to determine needs and appropriate services
• Provide basic mental health support and immediate intervention when needed
• Assist with lethality assessments in coordination with law enforcement
• Document emergencies and coordinate with staff
• Supervise volunteers as needed
• Ensure access to shelter and guide participants to services
• Follow up with participants regarding legal housing needs and other services
