Job summary

EMPACT- Suicide Prevention Center is seeking a part-time Crisis Therapist to provide direct crisis counseling and case management across in-home, in-office, and community settings. The role supports youth, adults, and families and works with first responders when needed.

The position requires a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field, plus 2 years in crisis services. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are preferred; AZ driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in crisis services preferred; sub-acute or urgent psychiatry experience favored.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred; bilingual differential may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct crisis counseling in-home, in-office, or community settings.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise interns and staff as assigned; train new personnel.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation; ensure safety planning and risk assessments.
• Respond to crisis calls in a high-paced environment and adapt to potentially volatile situations.
