Job summary

La Frontera EMPACT - Suicide Prevention Center in Arizona seeks a full‑time Crisis Specialist to support crisis services across home, school and community settings. You will perform crisis interventions, coordinate care, and work with first responders in a high‑pace environment.

Four 10‑hour shifts weekly (day, weekend and evening options) are provided. A Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field with 1 year of relevant experience or BHT eligibility is required, and bilingual

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a directly related field plus 1 year of Behavioral Health experience or the qualifications to meet BHT level requirements.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Must possess a valid AZ driver’s license with no major infractions for the past 39 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct crisis services in home, office, school and community settings including crisis intervention and de-escalation, transportation, and care coordination.
• Maintain client records and ensure quality service delivery per agency policies.
• Coordinate communication with other departments to ensure continuity of care and collaborate with state and community partners.
• Oversee daily department vehicle operations and report incidents; assist in safety checks as needed.
• Respond calmly in potentially volatile crisis situations and work cooperatively within a team.
