Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a Program Aide on-call for Head Start in Tennessee. This on-site position provides educational, relational and social experiences for infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers, reporting to the Education & Inclusion Manager or Center Director, with travel between sites as needed.

Responsibilities include classroom assistance, kitchen and janitorial tasks, bus monitoring when required, attendance at workshops and meetings, and strict adherence to Head Start standards and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Certification as applicable by Head Start or childcare regulations; CPR/First Aid within 90 days of employment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Ability to relate well with children and families; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom staff in activities and events.
• Serve as substitute when needed.
• Support with kitchen, janitorial, and meal-related tasks.
• Attend workshops and meetings; participate in program operations.
• Adhere to Head Start standards and confidentiality policies.
