Job summary

Save the Children US is seeking a Program Aide On-Call to provide educational, relational and social experiences for infants, toddlers and preschool children. The role reports to the Education and Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may involve travel to program sites or home visits.

The position requires assisting with classroom activities, supporting teachers, and performing kitchen, janitorial and bus monitor duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
• Knowledge of child development and safeguarding expectations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, families and children.
• Commitment to confidentiality and respectful collaboration.
• Must be able to follow directions and work with diverse families.
• Experience supporting children, including those with disabilities, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom assistance and support for Infant to preschool programs.
• Assist with daily operations, safety, and child supervision.
• Support kitchen, janitorial, and bus monitor tasks as needed.
• Attend workshops and staff/parent meetings; maintain confidentiality.
