Global Gourmet Catering is seeking an On-Call Event Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead front-of-house operations for high-profile events. You will supervise staff, coordinate service execution, manage client interactions, and ensure top-tier guest experiences from setup to breakdown.

Key requirements include 2+ years in event management, strong leadership, and excellent communication. This role offers on-call, seasonal hours with competitive hourly pay and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Event Management experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and client-facing communication abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of catering, banquet, hospitality, or event operations.
• Reliable transportation to various event locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee events from setup through final breakdown.
• Ensure event execution aligns with client expectations and specs.
• Maintain a professional, polished presence in client-facing role.
• Communicate effectively with executives, VIP guests, venue reps, and clients.
• Respond quickly and professionally to client requests and changes.
• Partner with Event Producers and Sales Managers to ensure successful outcomes.
• Review event timelines, equipment plans, and staffing needs.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, and on-site logistics.
• Lead pre-event staff meetings and service briefings.
• Collaborate with culinary, beverage, and operations teams during events.
• Troubleshoot service, staffing, equipment, and logistical issues.
