Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of proven culinary experience.
• 6+ years of leading kitchen teams (2–8 staff) in events.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to become certified.
• Ability to work flexible evenings and weekends.
• Strong food safety, sanitation, and allergen knowledge.
• Experience with both plated dinners and large buffets.
• Clear communication and composure under pressure.
• Available for at least 3 shifts per week during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site kitchen operations for off-site events, ensuring quality.
• Guide and mentor a 2–8 chef/prep staff during service.
• Prepare and execute menus based on BEOs and standards.
• Coordinate with Event Managers on timelines and service flow.
• Travel to Bay Area venues to manage on-site kitchen setups.
• Lead plating and presentation for formal dinners, weddings, and conferences.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation practices.
• Maintain equipment records and report repairs.
• Unload and reload catering vans and ensure proper packing of supplies.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on training and standards.
