Restaurant Associates is seeking an on-call Catering Captain for the South San Francisco location to coordinate staff, ensure timely service, and oversee setup and breakdown at catered events.

The role emphasizes coordinating schedules, delivering food to functions, and maintaining HACCP-compliant food handling and presentation standards. Previous catering captain experience is preferred, with driving may be required for deliveries.

Qualifications

• One to two years of catering captain experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license may be required; food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate catering staff workloads based on orders.
• Discuss setup arrangements with function group leaders and handle changes.
• Interact with customers and resolve issues in a service-oriented manner.
• Ensure proper presentation and food temperatures following HACCP standards.
• Direct staff on work expectations and assist with setup of rooms for events.
• Deliver and serve food and beverages, and manage cleanup after events.
