Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Columbia is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home support in the Lexington area. Roles involve assisting clients with daily living activities, following care plans, and offering companionship to enhance quality of life.

We value reliable, patient individuals with 2 years of caregiver experience, CPR certification, and a willingness to obtain any additional credentials as needed. Part-time shifts and flexible scheduling are available to fit your needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years prior experience as a caregiver, CNA, or PCA required.
• Dementia and long-term care experience a plus.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health.
• Provide medication reminders and support.
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers.
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support.
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff.
