Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Columbia is seeking a compassionate part-time caregiver to support clients in daily living tasks, follow care plans, and provide companionship. You'll assist with bathing, grooming, transfers, meal prep, and medication reminders, while reporting changes to the office and collaborating with families and healthcare teams.

Shifts are Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8am to 8pm, offering 12–30 hours per week, with flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and ongoing training to grow your

Qualifications

• 2 years prior experience as a caregiver, CNA, or PCA required.
• Dementia and long-term care experience a plus.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and daily hygiene.
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health.
• Provide medication reminders and support.
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff.

Position Details
