Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Charleston is seeking compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregivers to support seniors and adults in private homes or facility settings. Your role will help clients live safely, with dignity and independence, through daily living tasks, companionship, and health monitoring.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiver experience is required.
• Dementia and long-term care experience is a plus.
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Animal-friendly environment (around dogs and cats).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health.
• Provide medication reminders and support.
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers.
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support.
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff.

Position Details

• Pay: Starting at $16.50 per hour

• Expected Hours: 12–36 per week
