Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Columbia is seeking a part-time caregiver to provide daily living support in clients' homes in Chapin, SC. You will follow individualized care plans, assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, and documentation, while ensuring safety and compassion.

You’ll collaborate with families and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care. Requires at least 2 years of caregiver experience, CPR certification or willingness to obtain, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 2 years of prior caregiver, CNA, or PCA experience.
• Dementia and long-term care experience a plus.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health
• Provide medication reminders and support
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff

Position Details

• Job Type: Part Time




• Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour




• Expected Hours: 15-34 hours per week




• Shift: Mondays 8a to 2p, Wednesdays 8p to 8a, Every Other Saturday & Sunday 8a to 8p, Every Other Saturday & Sunday 3p to 8p
