Amentum seeks a Biometric Technician for the USCIS Application Support Center in San Marcos, CA. This on-call role supports biometrics registration, crowd control, and customer service, with duties spanning entry screening, data integrity, and site checks.

The position requires US citizenship, a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced public environment. Training will be provided; hours are variable with no guaranteed schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials; US citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand for shift duration.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicants' hands to obtain fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of biometrics training within sixty days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Ensure all entrants are approved and provide crowd control and assist staff with rules.
• Provide front-line customer service on behalf of Amentum and USCIS.
• Perform quality biometrics processing including fingerprints, photographs, and signatures.
• Screen applicants entering the facility with valid appointment notice and ID.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure safe entry into the facility.
• Visually inspect applicants and belongings prior to entry.
• Conduct periodic facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist Site Supervisor and/or officers in contacting local law enforcement when necessary.
• Manage administrative paperwork and visitor control logs.
